Recently, the transaction prices of electric furnace (EF) killed wire rods have stabilized at NT$19,800/ton in the Taiwanese market.
Last year, the transaction prices of EF killed wire rods stayed at the prices level of NT$19,000/ton for a while and it started to rise early November.
Industry sources said that the transaction prices of EF killed wire rods may increase further if scrap prices continue rising.
At present, the selling prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$385~US$388/ton C&F.
